[ I’m writing this blog to inform people who travel to Korea, as I noticed there isn’t much information available for them. My goal with this blog is to provide useful information, such as finding better places at better prices. ]
If you are looking for a glamping, camping, or Instagrammable place in Korea, I highly recommend Gapyeong JH Poolvilla & Glamping.
Why I recommend this place:
- You can get there without a car.
- It is close to Seoul.
- It’s unique.
- You don’t have to bring anything for camping.
I spent 130,000 won on Agoda for a weekday stay. It takes just 1 hour by car from Seoul. But if you don’t have a car, don’t worry. I didn’t either! That’s why I chose this place. .
How to get there without a car:
- Get off at Gapyeong Station or Gapyeong Bus Terminal.
- Go to Jeunmart (조은마트).
- Spend more than 20,000 won per person, and they will offer a free pickup-drop-off service.
See? Easy!
We spent 60,000 won for two people, including the meat. But I recommend bringing alcohol since alcohol at the mart is more expensive. When we checked out, I saw a car passing by Nami Island. I asked the driver, and he kindly dropped us off at Nami Island (thanks to the driver!). This saved us money on the bus or taxi.
I arrived at 3 p.m. After check-in, when I saw the view from the bed, it was a river view, which was fascinating. The bathroom, kitchen, and bed were of high quality and very clean. I’ve been to many camping and glamping sites, and I know it’s hard to find this level of quality.
I used the warm pool, so I could swim even in the cold weather. (But you should double-check the pool operation when you plan to visit.) Also, there are tents outside for barbecues. But you need to book in advance if you want to use the barbecue grill and pay extra.
Overall, I was very satisfied with this place. I recommend Gapyeong JH Poolvilla & Glamping if you’re planning to experience an amazing camping trip.
